Session 2 with Lana
Ease yourself into your weekend wellness retreat with a simple and soothing physical practice designed to relieve your travel aches and pains and prepare you for a deep, satisfying night’s sleep. This is a practice to welcome yourself into your body and into the moment–as you are, and will be the foundation of our time together in your “home away from home” on the mountain. Expect gentle stretches and a guided deep relaxation to decompress and recover from your travel. Please dress comfortably.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Yoga to Rejuvenate and Reenergize
Session 1 with Casey
Session 2 with Lana
This thoughtful, slow-flowing yoga practice will emphasize deep breathing and a strong foundational core. As we work to actively stretch and unwind tension around the ribcage and shoulders, we’ll stabilize the lower body and core to embrace a more heart-centered and compassionate experience this weekend and beyond. This breath-centric yoga practice will energize and invigorate you for the day ahead so you can explore all that Mohonk has to offer!
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8
Yoga for Gratitude + Compassion

Session 2 with Lana
We’ll close our time together on our mats with a moderately-paced, full-spectrum flow of yoga postures culminating with deep rest in an extended savasana. MEET OUR PROGRAM LEADERS
Lana Heintjes
Lana Heintjes, E-RYT200, is known for her soothing voice and calm presence. She has been an active and passionate yoga instructor since 2009, after she took her incredibly powerful 200-hr Yoga to the People teacher training in NYC. After discovering yoga in high school she felt like she had tapped into her life’s calling and found something that made her see the beauty of the world with clear eyes, and experience life with a healthy body. The evolution of her yoga practice has taken her on and above her mat, indoors and outdoors, around the world, and has made her the vibrant and joyful person that she is today.
Lana is certified in Vinyasa yoga, AcroYogaⓇ, Hot Yoga and Restorative Yoga. She also teaches Aerial Silks and is a Thai yoga bodywork practitioner with a Bachelor’s of Science in Music. She has over 400 hours of training and 4,000+ hours of teaching experience. She currently resides in the beautiful New Paltz, NY. Follow Lana on Instagram @acrolana.
Casey Richards
Casey has always naturally sought balance in her life. And once she discovered the practice of yoga she realized just how valuable it was. “Yoga balances my need for spiritual and personal reflection with my need for creative movement and creating physical strength and resiliency.”
Initially Casey immersed herself in the 200 hour training course offered at Vitality Yoga Flow in New Paltz, NY as a way to deepen her own practice. But it wasn’t long before she fell in love with the role of guide. She was inspired to share her love of the practice with others and to help motivate them to take care of themselves, their communities and to follow their dreams.
Casey is a certified RYT® 200, and has completed trainings in AcroFit, Yin Yoga, and Meditation. She believes strongly in the transformative power of tuning in with your authentic self and practicing radical acceptance. And she models this behavior for her students, family and friends. Casey’s yoga and acroyoga practices have helped her develop trust, comfort and playfulness within herself and her communities. It is the joy and freedom brought about by these movement and mindfulness based practices that fuel her to teach.
