Mohonk Mountain house offer countless activities and experiences for guests of all ages, all included in your overnight experience. Whether you want to try your hand at tomahawk throwing, a friendly lawn game competition, or play a round of tennis, you can be as active or relaxed as you choose. During our summer season Kids’ Club is our complimentary drop-off program for guests ages 5-12 to explore the natural wonders and beauty of Mohonk. Led by our First Aid and CPR certified staff, our kids’ program provides a safe and engaging environment with plenty of age-appropriate activities.

Most summer activities open Memorial Day weekend, depending on the weather. Please call to inquire about specific activities.

Swimming in Lake Mohonk is reserved for overnight guests only and is available between late May through mid September.

The Mountain House turns into a magical wonderland during the winter months. Guests can go ice skating in the open air pavilion, hiking with MICROspikes, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing when weather permits, or just cozy up in front of the fireplace with a handcrafted cocktail. There are also plenty of exciting weekend events such as Ballroom Dancing, Magic & Mindbenders Weekend, Yoga & Mindfulness, and Couples’ Romantic Getaway. Mohonk is also the ultimate destination for holiday getaways. Experience Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year on the mountaintop with plenty of family-friendly activities throughout your stay. The entire house will also be decorated with Christmas trees and gingerbread creations from our Gingerbread Competition.

Winter activities at Mohonk Mountain House, such as ice skating, are available to guests in late-November. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and winter hiking with MICROspikes vary throughout the winter season and are weather dependent activities. Please call to check for availability.

Mohonk Mountain House offers countless activities and experiences for guest of all ages. Explore 85 miles of scenic hiking trails, take a rowboat, kayak, or canoe out on the lake, or take a stroll through our Victorian show garden. Guests are encouraged to play a round of golf in our 9-hole course, a game of tennis on Har-Tru and red clay soft courts courts, or take in the scenic vistas on our property on horseback. Mohonk offers outdoor activities for the whole family including tomahawk throwing, archery, disc golf, lawn games, campfires with s’mores, and so much more.
