We invite you to explore our mindfulness offerings throughout your stay, ranging from Mindfulness in Minutes to enhancing insight and awareness through meditative hikes and forest bathing sessions in the heart of the Hudson Valley.

Mindfulness & Wellness Weekends
Mohonk Mountain House has been providing opportunities for “recreation and renewal of body, mind, and spirit” for more than 150 years. Throughout the year, we invite experts in the mindfulness and wellness space to lead workshops and classes on our mountaintop.
We offer complimentary meditation and yoga classes each day, for all levels of experience.

Meet Nina Smiley, Ph.D.
Nina Smiley, Director of Mindfulness Programming, graduated from Vassar College, and earned a doctoral degree in psychology from Princeton University. She is co-author of The Three Minute Meditator, Mindfulness in Nature, and the CD Mini-Meditations That Will Enhance Your Life. Nina taught psychology at the University of Maryland and directed public relations at the American Psychological Association. She has studied mindfulness with Jack Kornfield (founder of Spirit Rock Meditation Center), Sharon Salzberg (co-founder of Insight Meditation Society) , and others. Nina delights in sharing insights about meditation and wellness. Nina’s work has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine ; Real Simple; Shape; Self; Huffington Post; InStyle; Organic Spa; Spafinder; Family Circle; Prevention; and The New York Times.
