Live Music with A Good Boat
A Good Boat is a suite of acoustic music and poetry inspired by the 14th century Tibetan text The Thirty Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva. The trio features bansuri flute master Steve Gorn, drum virtuoso Harvey Sorgen, with poetry and compositions by guitarist, and long-time performing artist at Mohonk, David Gonzalez.
Mindfulness in Minutes: Relationships that Really Work
Throughout the day, we are constantly interacting with other people—family, friends, colleagues. Discover how a mindful approach to relationships can lead to more skillful interactions. Instead of thinking “I wish I hadn’t said that” learn to change “that” behavior. We’ll also focus on your most important relationship—with yourself.
Cocktail Tasting with Mohonk’s Beverage Staff
Join Mohonk’s beverage department as they share their tips and tricks to making a series of delicious cocktails.

Live Music with the Dylan Doyle Band
Southern born, Northern raised, Dylan Doyle has been musically steeped in everyone from Bob Dylan, Wes Montgomery and Bill Withers to John Prine, Jimi Hendrix, and The Band. From this background comes a unique musical interpretation that lies somewhere within the delta of Roots, Rock, and Jazz, giving him a style that defies classification.

A Good Boat
A Good Boat is a suite of acoustic music and poetry inspired by the 14th century Tibetan text The Thirty Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva. The trio features bansuri flute master Steve Gorn, drum virtuoso Harvey Sorgen, with poetry and compositions by guitarist and long-time performing artist at Mohonk, David Gonzalez. Each stanza of A Good Boat is brought to life with beautiful tunes, vivid improvisations, and the compelling energy these three musicians bring to the stage.

Dr. Nina Smiley
Dr. Nina Smiley graduated from Vassar College, and earned a doctoral degree in psychology from Princeton University. She is co-author of The Three Minute Meditator and the CD Mini-Meditations That Will Enhance Your Life. Nina taught psychology at the University of Maryland and worked at the American Psychological Association. She has studied mindfulness with Jack Kornfield (founder of Spirit Rock Meditation Center), Sharon Salzberg (co-founder of Insight Meditation Society), and others. Nina’s work has been featured in O, the Oprah Magazine, Real Simple, Shape, Self and Marie Claire. She delights in sharing insights about mindfulness meditation and wellness.
Dylan Doyle
Dylan Doyle has been touring nationally since age 15, and became a seasoned professional guitarist and singer at a very young age. He has played with such notable musicians as Rob Stoner (Bob Dylan, Don Mclean), John Platania (Van Morrison, Natalie Merchant), Ben Cauley (Otis Redding) and Bill Payne (Little Feat). Stoner has called Dylan one of the most prodigious players he has known with abundant natural talent. John Platania has referred to Dylan as “The Future.” Ben Cauley, after playing with Dylan in Memphis said, “Dylan Doyle sounds like a young Jimi Hendrix.” In the words of Bill Payne upon sharing the stage: “Music is a conversation. Dylan spoke beautifully and was listening to the musicians around him. His play was imaginative and original.” Attesting to Dylan’s versatility, Doyle has played the King Biscuit Blues Festival three consecutive years, and has headlined the Grateful Garcia Gathering, the largest Grateful Dead festival in the Midwest.
